1. 누가 성화의 삶을 살 수 있는가?
Those who have been effectually called and born again
효력 있는 부르심을 받고 거듭난 자들은
have a new heart and a new spirit created within them.
그들 안에 새롭게 창조된 마음과 영을 가지게 됩니다.
2. 성화는 사람마다 차이가 있는가?
They are truly and personally sanctified more and more.
그들은 실제적이고 개인적으로 점점 더 성화되어 갑니다.
The fruits of holiness become evident in their lives.
거룩함의 열매가 그들의 삶에서 드러납니다.
There are personal differences.
개인적인 차이가 있습니다.
Although the degree varies, the fruit of holiness is always present.
정도의 차이는 있지만 거룩함의 열매는 반드시 나타납니다.
3. 성화는 나의 공로인가, 예수 그리스도의 공로인가?
Sanctification is possible only through the merit of Christ’s death and resurrection.
성화가 가능한 것은 오직 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 부활의 공로 때문입니다.
4. 성화는 누가 어떻게 적용하는가?
God’s Word and the Holy Spirit dwelling within us
우리 안에 거하시는 하나님의 말씀과 성령님께서
destroy the dominion that sin holds over our bodies.
우리 몸을 지배하는 죄의 권세를 파괴하십니다.
Our various bodily lusts are gradually weakened and put to death.
우리의 여러 육체적 욕망은 점점 약해지고 죽임을 당합니다.
However, our bodies are not yet fully redeemed.
그러나 우리의 몸은 아직 완전히 구속되지 않았습니다.
We are already redeemed, but complete redemption awaits us in the new heaven and new earth.
우리는 이미 구속되었지만, 온전한 구속은 새 하늘과 새 땅에서 완성될 것입니다.
Sanctification, like justification, is carried out by the Holy Spirit through the Word.
성화는 칭의와 마찬가지로 성령님께서 말씀을 통해 이루어 가십니다.
5. 성화의 삶은 율법적인가, 은혜에 기초한 삶인가?
Is the life of sanctification legalistic or based on grace?
성화된 삶은 율법주의적인가, 아니면 은혜에 기반한 삶인가?
Our bodily desires are gradually weakened and mortified,
우리의 육체적 욕망은 점점 약해지고 죽임을 당하며,
leading us to the practice of true holiness.
참된 거룩함을 실천하는 삶으로 인도됩니다.
We read the Bible, pray, and worship daily not because of legalistic obligation,
우리는 율법적 의무감 때문에 성경을 읽고, 기도하고, 찬양하는 것이 아니라,
but because the grace of our Lord moves us to live this way.
주님의 은혜가 우리를 그렇게 살도록 이끄시기 때문입니다.
Living a holy life is not because of the law’s commands,
거룩한 삶을 사는 이유는 율법의 명령 때문이 아니라,
but because of the grace and love of the Lord working within us,
우리 안에서 역사하시는 주님의 은혜와 사랑 때문입니다.
which naturally produces a desire to become more like Him.
그 은혜는 우리로 하여금 주님을 닮고자 하는 열망을 자연스럽게 만들어냅니다.
Our godly practices are natural responses to the grace flowing within us.
우리의 경건한 실천은 우리 안에 흐르는 은혜에 대한 자연스러운 반응입니다.
6. 칭의 받은 자는 반드시 성화의 삶을 사는가?
Without sanctification, no one will see the Lord.
성화 없이는 아무도 주님을 볼 수 없습니다.
Sanctification is another evidence of salvation.
성화는 구원의 또 다른 증거입니다.
Those who are not saved cannot live a sanctified life in Christ.
구원받지 않은 자는 그리스도 안에서 성화된 삶을 살 수 없습니다.
All who are sanctified have been justified and born again.
성화된 자는 모두 칭의 받았고 거듭난 자들입니다.
They are all saved.
그들은 모두 구원받은 자들입니다.
