1. The One and True God (유일하시고 참되신 하나님)

1.1. There is but one only living and true God,
오직 한 분이신 살아 계시고 참되신 하나님이 계신다.

2. Immutable Attributes of God (인간과 공유되지 않는 속성)

(하나님께만 속하며, 결코 피조물에게 전이되지 않는 본질적 속성들)

2.1. Who is infinite in being and perfection,
그분은 존재와 완전성에 있어서 무한하시며,

2.2. A most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions;
가장 순수한 영이시며, 보이지 않으시고, 육체나 지체나 인간적인 감정이 없으시다.

2.3. Immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty,
불변하시고, 광대하시며, 영원하시고, 인간이 측량할 수 없으며, 전능하시다.

2.4. Most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute;
지극히 지혜로우시고, 지극히 거룩하시며, 지극히 자유로우시고, 지극히 절대적이시다.

2.5. Working all things according to the counsel of His own immutable and most righteous will,
하나님은 불변하시고 지극히 거룩한 자신의 뜻의 계획에 따라 모든 일을 행하시며,

2.6. For His own glory;
모든 것을 자신의 영광을 위하여 하신다.

3. Mutable (Communicable) Attributes of God (인간과 공유되는 속성)

(하나님께서 인간에게 일부 나누어 주신 도덕적·관계적 성품들)

3.1. Most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering,
그분은 사랑이 풍성하시고, 은혜로우시며, 자비로우시고, 오래 참으신다.

3.2. Abundant in goodness and truth,
선과 진리가 풍성하시며,

3.3. Forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin;
불의와 허물과 죄를 용서하시며,

3.4. The rewarder of them that diligently seek Him;
그를 부지런히 찾는 자들에게 상을 주신다.

3.5. And withal most just and terrible in His judgments;
또한 지극히 의로우시며, 그의 심판은 두려우시다.

3.6. Hating all sin,
모든 죄를 미워하시며,

3.7. And who will by no means clear the guilty.
죄 있는 자를 결코 무죄하다고 하지 않으신다.
