Sin Against the Body and Blood of Christ

• Although ignorant and wicked men receive the outward elements in this sacrament,
  비록 부지하고 악한 사람이 성례의 외적 요소들을 받는다 하더라도

• Yet they receive not the thing signified thereby;
  그 요소들이 상징하는 것을 받지 못한다.

• But by their unworthy coming thereunto
  오히려 그들이 합당치 않게 성례에 참여함으로써

• Are guilty of the body and blood of the Lord, to their own damnation.
  예수 그리스도의 몸과 피를 범하는 죄를 지어, 자신들의 파멸을 초래하게 된다.

2. 부적합한 자를 성찬에 참여시킬 수 없음

Unworthy Persons Should Not Partake

• Wherefore all ignorant and ungodly persons,
  그러므로 모든 무지하고 경건치 않은 자들은

• As they are unfit to enjoy communion with Him,
  예수 그리스도와의 교제를 누릴 자격이 없으므로

• So are they unworthy of the Lord's table,
  주님의 성찬에 합당치 않으며

• And cannot, without great sin against Christ,
  그리스도에 대한 큰 죄를 범하지 않고서는

• While they remain such, partake of these holy mysteries,
  이런 상태로는 거룩한 성찬 예식에 참여할 수도 없고

• Or be admitted thereunto.
  참여가 허락될 수도 없다.
