1. 그리스도인이 누리는 자유
The liberty which Christ hath purchased for believers under the Gospel
복음 아래 있는 신자들을 위해 그리스도가 사신 자유는
-
consists in their freedom from the guilt of sin
죄의 책임으로부터의 자유이며 -
the condemning wrath of God
하나님의 진노의 정죄로부터의 자유이며 -
the curse of the moral law
도덕법의 정죄로부터의 자유이며 -
and, in their being delivered from this present evil world
현 시대의 악함에서 구원받는 것이며 -
bondage to Satan
사탄의 속박으로부터 구원받는 것이며 -
and dominion of sin
죄의 영역에서 벗어난 것이며 -
from the evil of afflictions
악이 주는 고통들로부터 벗어난 것이며 -
the sting of death
죽음이 주는 두려움에서 해방되며 -
the victory of the grave
무덤에서의 승리, 즉 부활의 확신을 갖는 것이며 -
and everlasting damnation
영원한 멸망에서의 해방이다 -
as also, in their free access to God
하나님께 자유로이 나갈 수 있는 것이며 -
and their yielding obedience unto Him, not out of slavish fear, but a child-like love and willing mind
노예적 두려움 때문이 아닌, 아이와 같은 사랑과 즐거운 마음으로 하나님께 순종하는 것이다
2. 신약에서 누리는 더 풍성한 자유
All which were common also to believers under the law
율법 아래 있던 구약의 신자들에게도 동일한 자유가 있었지만
but, under the new testament
신약 시대에는
-
the liberty of Christians is further enlarged in their freedom from the yoke of the ceremonial law, to which the Jewish Church was subjected
구약 교회가 지켜야 했던 제의적인 법의 굴레에서 벗어난 더 확장된 자유 -
and in greater boldness of access to the throne of grace
은혜의 보좌에 담대히 나갈 수 있음 -
and in fuller communications of the free Spirit of God, than believers under the law did ordinarily partake of
구약 시대 신자들보다 더 성령님의 풍성한 교제 속에서 누리는 자유
