1. Believers Are Saved in Christ / 그리스도 안에서 구원받은 신자

Notwithstanding, the persons of believers being accepted through Christ,
그럼에도 불구하고 신자 한 사람 한 사람이 그리스도를 통해 용납되었습니다.

We are not saved because of our own merit.
우리가 잘해서 구원을 받은 것이 아닙니다.

Our sins do not simply disappear.
우리의 죄가 사라진 것이 아닙니다.

Our sins still remain with us.
우리의 죄는 여전히 우리에게 있습니다.

God forgives us by looking to Christ’s merit.
하나님께서는 그리스도의 공로를 보시고 우리를 용서하셨습니다.

Because of Christ’s merit, God declares our sins forgiven, even though we still have them.
그리스도의 공로 때문에 우리의 죄가 있음에도 불구하고 없다고 선언해 주신 것입니다.

Those who are “in Christ Jesus” are truly blessed.
“그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자”는 그래서 축복받은 사람입니다.

2. Good Works Are Also Accepted in Christ / 선행 또한 그리스도 안에서 용납됨

Their good works also are accepted in Him;
그들의 행위 또한 그리스도 안에서 받아들여집니다.

Similarly, the good works of Christians are accepted by God.
같은 원리로 그리스도인의 선행도 하나님께 받아들여집니다.

Not because their works are perfect and blameless in this life,
그들의 선행이 이 세상에서 완벽하고 흠이 없기 때문이 아니라,

But because God, looking upon them in His Son,
하나님께서 그의 아들 안에서 그들의 선행을 보시고,

Is pleased to accept and reward what is sincere,
순수한 동기와 의도가 있다면 그것을 받으시고 상 주시기를 기뻐하십니다.

Although these works are accompanied by many weaknesses and imperfections.
비록 그 선행들이 많은 약점과 불완전함을 동반하고 있더라도 말입니다.
