모든 시대를 위한 그리스도의 구속 사역

 

1. 구속 은혜의 시대를 초월한 적용

Although the work of redemption was not actually wrought by Christ till after his incarnation
비록 구속의 사역이 실제로 그리스도의 성육신 이후에 이루어졌지만,

yet the virtue, efficacy, and benefits thereof, were communicated unto the elect, in all ages successively from the beginning of the world
그러나 그 효력과 능력, 그리고 그 혜택은 세상의 시작부터 모든 시대에 걸쳐 택하신 자들에게 전달되었다.

 

2. 구약 백성들에게 주어진 구속의 계시: 방법과 내용

2-1. 약속들과 예표들과 희생 제사

in and by those promises, types, and sacrifices
그것은 그 약속들과 예표들과 희생 제사들을 통해서였다.

2-2. 여자의 후손으로 계시되신 그리스도

wherein he was revealed and signified to be the Seed of the woman which should bruise the serpent’s head
그 안에서 그는 뱀의 머리를 상하게 할 여자의 후손으로 계시되고 상징되었다.

2-3. 죽임당한 어린 양으로 나타나신 그리스도

and the Lamb slain from the beginning of the world
그리고 세상의 시작부터 죽임을 당한 어린 양으로 나타나셨다.

 

3. 영원히 동일하신 그리스도

being yesterday and today the same, and for ever
그는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하신 분이시다.
