Man, by his fall, having made himself incapable of life by that covenant,
인간은 그 자신의 타락으로 인해 행위 언약을 통해 생명을 얻는 일이 불가능해졌기 때문에.

 

2. 두 번째 언약, 은혜 언약

the Lord was pleased to make a second, commonly called the Covenant of Grace:
주님께서는 기꺼이 두 번째 언약을 맺으셨고, 그것은 일반적으로 은혜 언약이라고 불립니다.

 

3. 은혜 언약의 내용

wherein he freely offereth unto sinners life and salvation by Jesus Christ,
그 안에서 그는 죄인들에게 예수 그리스도를 통한 구원과 생명을 값없이 베푸시며,

requiring of them faith in him,
그들에게 그를 믿는 믿음을 요구하시며,

and promising to give unto all those that are ordained unto life, his Holy Spirit, to make them willing and able to believe.
또한 생명에 미리 정해진 모든 자들에게 약속하신 성령님을 주셔서, 그들이 기꺼이 믿을 수 있도록 하십니다.
