행위 언약
Our first parents,
→ 우리의 첫 조상들은
being seduced by the subtility and temptation of Satan,
→ 사탄의 교활함과 유혹에 의해 미혹되어
sinned in eating the forbidden fruit.
→ 금지된 열매를 먹음으로 죄를 지었다.
하나님의 주권적 허락과 계획
This their sin God was pleased,
→ 하나님은 그들의 이 죄를
according to his wise and holy counsel, to permit,
→ 자신의 지혜롭고 거룩한 뜻에 따라 허락하셨다.
having purposed to order it to his own glory
→ 그 죄를 주관하여 자신의 영광을 위해 사용하실 목적을 가지셨다.
