1. 영광에 이르는 수단
As God hath appointed the elect unto glory,
하나님께서 택하신 자들을 영광에 이르도록 정하신 것처럼,

so hath he, by the eternal and most free purpose of his will, foreordained all the means thereunto.
그의 뜻의 영원하고 가장 자유로운 목적에 따라, 그 영광에 이르는 모든 수단들도 미리 정하셨습니다.

1) 택함
Wherefore they who are elected being fallen in Adam,
그러므로 택함 받은 자들은 아담 안에서 타락하였으나,

 

2) 그리스도에 의한 구속
are redeemed by Christ,
그리스도로 말미암아 구속을 받고,

 

3) 성령에 의한 효과적인 부르심
are effectually called unto faith in Christ by his Spirit working in due season;
정하신 때에 성령의 역사하심으로 그리스도를 믿는 믿음 안으로 효과적으로 부르심을 받으며,

 

4) 칭의, 양자, 성화
are justified, adopted, sanctified,
의롭다 하심을 받고, 자녀로 입양되며, 거룩하게 되며,

 

7. 영화의 구원을 향한 믿음을 통한 보존
and kept by his power through faith unto salvation.
믿음을 통해 그의 능력으로 구원에 이르기까지 보호받습니다.

 

2. 구원의 유일한 대상: 오직 택자들
Neither are any other redeemed by Christ, effectually called, justified, adopted, sanctified, and saved, but the elect only.
그리고 택자들 외에는 그 누구도 그리스도로 말미암아 구속받거나, 효과적으로 부르심을 받거나, 의롭다 하심을 받거나, 입양되거나, 거룩하게 되거나, 구원받지 못합니다.
