By it, 생명에 이르는 회개에 의해

 

a sinner, out of the sight and sense, not only of the danger, 죄의 위험성과

 

but also of the filthiness 죄의 추악함

 

and odiousness of his sins, 그리고 죄에 대한 깊은 혐오를 가지지 못하던 (죄인들이)

 

as contrary to the holy nature, and righteous law of God; and upon the apprehension of His mercy in Christ (거룩한 본성, 하나님의 거룩한 율법, 그리고 그리스도 안에 있는 긍휼을 깨닫게 (될 때)

 

1. 지

 

to such as are penitent, (자신이 얼마나 잘못하고 있음을 인정하고)

 

penitent : 자신이 행한 것을 느끼고 자신의 유감을 보이는 행위

so grieves for 슬퍼하고

 

2. 정

 

and hates his sins, 그들의 죄에 대해 미워하며

 

3. 의

 

as to turn from them all unto God, 죄에서 돌아서 하나님께로 향하고

 

purposing and endeavouring to walk with Him in all the ways of His commandments. (하나님께서) 명령하신 모든 면에서 그와 함께 걷고자 결단하고 노력하게 됩니다.
