시의 구조

1. 전주(서론): 새 노래로 여호와를 찬양하라 (1~5절)

1) 찬양의 기쁨 (1~3절)

• 의인들에게 합당한 찬양
• 새 노래로 하나님을 찬양할 것에 대한 권면

2) 찬양의 이유 (4~5절)

• 여호와의 말씀과 행위는 신실하고 정의로움
• 하나님의 공의와 선하심이 온 땅에 충만함

 

2. 천지의 주재이신 여호와 하나님 (6~19절)

1) 창조의 주재이신 여호와 하나님 (6~9절)

• 하나님의 말씀과 입의 호흡으로 창조된 하늘과 땅
• 온 세상은 여호와를 경외해야 함

2) 역사의 주재이신 여호와 하나님 (10~12절)

• 여호와께서 열방의 계획을 무효하게 하심
• 하나님의 뜻만이 영원히 서고, 그분을 하나님으로 삼은 민족이 복됨

3) 인생의 주재이신 여호와 하나님 (13~15절)

• 하나님께서 하늘에서 사람들을 굽어보시고 그들의 마음을 아심
• 모든 사람의 행위를 감찰하시는 하나님

4) 거룩한 용사이신 여호와 하나님 (16~19절)

• 군대나 힘이 구원을 주지 못함
• 여호와를 경외하는 자를 구원하시고, 기근에서 보호하심

 

3. 후주(결론): 우리가 주님을 바라봅니다 (20~22절)

• 우리의 혼이 주를 기다림
• 그 분의 거룩한 이름을 신뢰
• 우리가 주께 소망을 둠

 

"새 노래로 그분께 노래하며 큰 소리로 솜씨 있게 연주할지어다(3절)."

“새 노래”

• 하나님께서 베푸시는 새로운 은혜와 역사에 대한 반응
• 날마다 새롭게 역사하시는 하나님을 찬양
• 단순한 가사나 멜로디의 변화가 아닌, 새로운 감격과 마음으로 찬양
• 반복적인 찬양이라도 형식적이지 않고 진정한 감사와 기쁨으로 드려야 함
• 애가 3:22-23 – "여호와의 긍휼이 끝이 없으며 아침마다 새로우니…"

 

“그분께”

• 찬양은 사람을 위한 것이 아니라 오직 하나님께 드려야 함

“큰 소리로”

• 단순한 음량이 아니라 승리의 함성, 기쁨의 표현
• 하나님을 향한 열정적인 찬양

 

“솜씨 있게 연주하라”

• 능숙하고 아름답게 연주하라는 의미
• 찬양은 대충이 아니라 정성과 기술을 다해 드려야 함
• 최고의 예배는 하나님께 드리는 최상의 헌신과 정성을 포함

"하나님, 오늘도 새 은혜를 베푸시는 주님을 찬양합니다. 제 마음이 형식적인 예배에 머물지 않고, 새로운 감격과 사랑으로 하나님을 찬양하게 하소서.

 

Structure of the Psalms

1. Prelude (Introduction): Praise the Lord with a New Song (Verses 1-5)
   1. The Joy of Praise (Verses 1-3)
      Praise is appropriate for the righteous.
      A call to praise God with a new song.
   2. The Reasons for Praise (Verses 4-5)
      The Lord's word and works are faithful and righteous.
      God's justice and goodness fill the whole earth.
2. The Sovereign Lord of Heaven and Earth (Verses 6-19)
   1. The Creator, the Sovereign Lord (Verses 6-9)
      The heavens and earth were created by God's word and the breath of His mouth.
      All the earth should fear the Lord.
   2. The Ruler of History (Verses 10-12)
      The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations.
      Only God's will stands forever, and the nation that calls Him their God will be blessed.
   3. The Ruler of Humanity (Verses 13-15)
      God looks down from heaven and knows the hearts of people.
      He observes the actions of all people.
   4. The Holy Warrior, the Sovereign Lord (Verses 16-19)
      Armies and strength do not bring salvation.
      The Lord saves those who fear Him and protects them from famine.
3. Postlude (Conclusion): We Wait for the Lord (Verses 20-22)

Our soul waits for the Lord.
We trust in His holy name.
We place our hope in the Lord.

 

"Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise." (Verse 3)

• "New Song"
  A response to the new grace and works that God grants.
  Praising the God who works anew every day.
  This isn't just a change of lyrics or melody, but a praise with a new sense of awe and heart.
  Even in repetitive praise, it should not be formalistic but given with sincere gratitude and joy.
  Lamentations 3:22-23 - "It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
• "Unto Him"
  Praise is not for people, but for God alone.
• "With a loud noise"
  This refers not only to volume but also to a victory shout, an expression of joy.
  Passionate praise toward God.
• "Play skilfully"
  It means to play beautifully and skillfully.
  Praise should not be done carelessly but with dedication and technique.
  The best worship involves the highest level of devotion and effort given to God.

"Lord, I praise You today for Your new grace. May my heart not stay in formalistic worship, but instead may I praise You with fresh awe and love."
