내가 이것을 확신하리로다.
“{주}는 나의 빛이요, 나의 구원이시니 내가 누구를 두려워하리요? {주}는 내 생명의 힘이시니 내가 누구를 무서워하리요?”
“주”는 “LORD”, 언약의 주이십니다.
“나의 빛”은 ‘진리’와 ‘인도’을 의미합니다.
“나의 구원”은 ‘구원’과 ‘구출’입니다.
“내 생명의 힘” ‘능력’입니다.
여기서 강조점은 “나의”, “내가”, 그리고 “내”입니다. 개인의 체험을 강조하고 있습니다.
2절의 시제는 과거형입니다.

다윗의 성전에서 여쭙고자 합니다.
여쭙다는 의미는 하나님의 뜻을 구한다는 의미입니다.
5절에 그 이유가 나옵니다. 5절은 “왜냐하면”이라고 시작합니다.
하나님을 자신을 보호해 주실 것이기 때문입니다.
성전에서 거한다는 표현은 안식과 평화를 의미합니다.
하나님의 얼굴, 하나님의 임재, 하나님의 뜻을 구하는 삶은 고단한 다윗의 삶에 유일한, 최고의 낙이요 선물입니다.
가르치고, 인도하소서
오 {주}여, 주의 길을 내게 가르치시고 내 원수들로 인하여 나를 평탄한 길로 인도하소서
다윗은 참으로 답답한 지경에 처해 있습니다.
아무리 하나님을 찾아도 하나님께서 그를 외면하시기 때문입니다.
주의 얼굴이 숨겨진 것처럼 느낍니다.
하나님의 임재와 교제와 끊긴 것 같습니다.
이것은 다윗의 인생에서 큰 위기입니다.
이런 상황 속에서 다윗은 기도합니다.
“가르치다”는 의미는 활을 쏘는 것입니다.
정확하게 표적을 겨누는 것입니다.
하나님의 의도와 목적을 정확하게 아는 것입니다.
“인도하다”는 의미는 양과 목자의 관계 속에서 인도합니다.
목자인 하나님께서 양을 인도하듯이 하나님의 목적과 계획 속에서 자신을 인도해 달라고 기도하고 있습니다.
{주}를 바랄지어다.
“{주}를 바라며 크게 용기를 낼지어다. 그리하면 그분께서 네 마음을 강하게 하시리라. 내가 말하노니 {주}를 바랄지어다.”
“주를 바라다”는 의미는 계속해서 기다린다는 의미입니다.
다윗의 시를 볼 때, 다윗이 항상 하나님의 임재를 누리며, 하나님의 가르침과 인도를 받은 것은 아니었습니다.
하나님께서 얼굴을 숨긴 것 같은 시기가 있었습니다.
이러한 때에 우리가 다윗에게 배울 것은 인내하며 기다린다는 것입니다.
포기치 않고, 낙심치 않고, 의심치 않고 계속해서 기다린다는 것입니다.
적용
우리 인생에서 신앙의 삶은 어떠해야 합니까?
“나의”, “내”와 같이 하나님의 능력과 구원을 체험하는 것입니다.
이를 위해서 “여쭙고”, “가르침과 인도”을 요구합니다.
인내하며 기다리고, 하나님의 놀라운 구원을 다시 한번 경험하는 것입니다.
이러한 신앙의 삶에서 승리하는 저와 여러분이 되기를 기도하십니다.

I Will Be Confident in This
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1, KJV)
The “Lord” here refers to the “LORD” of the covenant.
“My light” signifies “truth” and “guidance.”
“My salvation” means “deliverance” and “rescue.”

To Seek Him in His Temple

David wants to inquire of God in His temple.
The term “inquire” means to seek God’s will.

David trusts that God will protect him.

Teach Me and Lead Me

David is in a desperate situation.
He seeks God, but it feels as though God is hiding His face.
He feels as if God’s presence and fellowship have been cut off.
This was a major crisis in David’s life.
In this situation, David prays.
The word “teach” originally means “to shoot an arrow.”
It conveys the idea of aiming accurately at a target.
It signifies knowing God’s purpose and will clearly.
“Lead” refers to the guidance of a shepherd leading sheep.
David prays for God, his Shepherd, to lead him in His purpose and plans.
Wait on the Lord
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14, KJV)
To “wait on the Lord” means to keep waiting continuously.
When we read David’s psalms, we realize that David did not always feel God’s presence or receive His guidance directly.
There were times when it seemed God had hidden His face.
What we can learn from David in such times is patience—to wait without giving up, without discouragement, and without doubt.
Application: How Should We Live a Life of Faith?
We must experience God’s power and salvation personally, just as David emphasized “my,” “I,” and “me.”
