성경본문내용	Worthy receivers, outwardly partaking of the visible elements in this sacrament, do then also inwardly by faith, really and indeed, yet not carnally and corporally, but spiritually, receive and feed upon Christ crucified, and all benefits of his death: the body and blood of Christ being then not corporally or carnally in, with, or under the bread and wine; yet as really, but spiritually, present to the faith of believers in that ordinance, as the elements themselves are to their outward senses. 합당한 수찬자(受餐者)들은 이 성례의 가견적 요소를 외형적(外形的)으로 받을 때에(고전11:28) 또한 내면적(內面的)으로는 믿음으로 받으며 물질적으로나 신체적으로가 아니라 영적(靈的)으로 십자가에 못 박히신 그리스도와 그의 죽음에서 오는 모든 은혜를 받으며 또한 먹는다. 그러나 성찬을 받는 그 때에 그리스도의 몸과 피가 떡과 포도주 안에 함께 또는 밑에, 물질적으로나 육체적으로 있는 것은 아니다(루터교의 공재설(共在說)). 그렇지만 그 가견적(可見的) 요소들을 그 의식(儀式)에 참예(參禮)하는 신자들이 그들의 외적(外的) 감각(感覺)에 의해 알아보는 것처럼 실제적(實際的)인 동시에 영적(靈的)으로 그들은 그들의 믿음을 통하여 그리스도의 몸과 피를 깨닫게 되는 것이다(고전10:16).

Outwardly 외적으로
- Partaking of the visible elements in this sacrament,
  성찬에서 보이는 요소들을 받아들이는 동시에
Inwardly 내부적으로
- By faith, really and indeed, yet not carnally and corporally,
  신앙으로 참으로 참여하되, 육체적·물질적으로가 아니라
- But spiritually, receive and feed upon Christ crucified,
  영적으로 그리스도의 십자가에 참여하며
- And all benefits of His death.
  그의 죽음의 모든 은혜를 누리는 것이다.
