1. 하나님 존재의 계시
The light of nature showeth that there is a God,
→ 자연의 빛은 하나님이 존재하심을 알려 줍니다.
who hath lordship
→ 모든 만물의 주권자이시며
and sovereignty over all;
→ 온 세상을 다스리시는 분이시며
is good, and doth good unto all;
→ 모든 피조물에게 선을 베푸시는 분이십니다.
and is therefore to be feared,
→ 그래서 경외함을 받으시고
loved,
→ 사랑을 받으며
praised,
→ 찬양을 받으시고
called upon,
→ 간구함을 들으시며
trusted in,
→ 신뢰를 받으시며
and served, with all the heart, and with all the soul, and with all the might.
→ 마음과 영혼과 힘을 다해 섬김을 받으십니다.
2. 예배와 자연 계시의 한계
But the acceptable way of worshipping the true God is
→ 그러나 참 하나님을 바르게 예배하는 방법은
instituted by Himself,
→ 하나님께서 직접 정하시고
and so limited by His own revealed will,
→ 그분이 계시한 뜻에 따라 제한됩니다.
that He may not be worshipped according to the imaginations and devices of men,
→ 인간의 상상이나 계획에 따라 예배해서는 안 되며
or the suggestions of Satan, under any visible representation,
→ 사탄의 꾀나 어떤 형상적 상징을 통해 예배해서도 안 되며
or any other way not prescribed in the Holy Scripture.
→ 성경에 기록되지 않은 어떤 방식으로도 예배할 수 없습니다.
