성경본문내용 1. 며칠 뒤에 그분께서 다시 가버나움에 들어가시니 그분께서 집에 계시다는 소문이 들리므로
2. 많은 사람들이 즉시 함께 모이매 문 앞에도 그들을 받을 자리가 전혀 없더라. 그분께서 그들에게 말씀을 선포하시더라.
3. 그들이 한 마비 병 환자를 데리고 그분께 오는데 네 사람이 그를 나르더라.
4. 그들이 밀려드는 무리로 인해 그분께 가까이 갈 수 없으므로 그분께서 계신 곳의 지붕을 벗기고 부수어서 마비 병 환자가 누운 자리를 달아 내리거늘
5. 예수님께서 그들의 믿음을 보시고 마비 병 환자에게 이르시되, 아들아, 네 죄들을 용서받을지어다, 하시니라.
6. 그러나 어떤 서기관들이 거기 앉아서 마음속으로 따져 보며 이르되,
7. 이 사람이 어찌 이렇게 신성모독하는 말을 하느냐? 오직 [하나님] 외에 누가 능히 죄들을 용서하겠느냐? 하더라.
8. 예수님께서 그들이 속으로 그렇게 따져 보는 줄을 자신의 영으로 아시고 즉시 그들에게 이르시되, 너희가 어찌하여 마음속으로 이것들을 따져 보느냐?
9. 마비 병 환자에게, 네 죄들을 용서받을지어다, 하고 말하는 것과, 일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라, 하고 말하는 것 중에 어느 것이 더 쉬우냐?
10. 그러나 사람의 [아들]이 땅에서 죄들을 용서하는 권능을 가진 줄을 너희가 알게 하려 하노라, 하시고 (마비 병 환자에게 이르시되,)
11. 내가 네게 이르노니, 일어나 네 자리를 들고 네 길로 네 집으로 가라, 하시매
12. 그가 즉시 일어나 자리를 들고 그들 모두 앞에서 나가거늘 그들이 다 심히 놀라 [하나님]께 영광을 돌리며 이르되, 우리가 그 일을 이런 식으로는 결코 본 적이 없다, 하니라.

1. And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7. Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

회복의 순서: 믿음, 용서, 회복 

1. 문제 인식: 죄와 현실적 한계

본문 근거: 중풍병자가 스스로 걸을 수 없는 상태

  • 인간의 문제는 단순히 육체적 어려움이 아니라 근본적 영적 문제, 즉 죄와 하나님과의 단절에 있습니다.
     

  • 중풍병자가 스스로 걸을 수 없는 상태는, 인간이 스스로 해결할 수 없는 죄와 현실적 한계를 상징합니다.
     

적용:
우리 삶의 문제를 먼저 영적 관점에서 인식해야 합니다. 단순히 외적 문제만 바라보면 근본적 회복이 어렵습니다.

 

2. 믿음의 실천: 예수께 나아감

본문 근거: 친구들이 지붕을 뚫고 중풍병자를 예수 앞으로 내려줌
설명:

  • 믿음은 마음으로만 확신하는 것이 아니라, 행동과 실천으로 나타나야 합니다.
     

  • 당시 지붕은 흙과 짚으로 간단히 덮여 있었기에, 친구들이 올라가 뚫고 내리는 행동은 물리적·사회적 한계를 극복한 실천적 믿음이었습니다.
     

  • 중요한 점은 중풍병자 자신도 믿음을 가졌다는 것입니다.
     

    • 많은 사람들 앞에서 당황스럽고 부끄러운 상황에도 불구하고, 그는 예수께 나아가 치유받고자 하는 믿음을 보였습니다.
       

  • 친구들의 행동과 중풍병자의 믿음이 합쳐져 회복의 출발점이 만들어졌습니다.
     

적용:

  • 우리의 믿음은 단순히 마음속 확신이 아니라 행동으로 나타나야 합니다.
     

  • 부끄럽거나 불편한 상황에서도, 현실적 한계를 뛰어넘어 하나님께 나아가는 믿음이 회복을 가능하게 합니다.
     

 

3. 영적 회복: 죄 사함

본문 근거: 예수께서 “네 죄 사함을 받았느니라” 말씀
설명:

  • 회복의 핵심은 영적 문제 해결, 즉 하나님과의 관계 회복입니다.
     

  • 중풍병자가 걷기 전에 먼저 죄 사함을 받은 것은, 삶의 모든 변화를 가능하게 하는 영적 회복의 우선성을 보여줍니다.
     

적용:

  • 우리의 가장 시급한 문제는 죄와 하나님과의 단절입니다.

4. 현실 회복: 육체적·사회적 문제 해결

  • 육체적 치유와 사회적 회복은 영적 회복의 결과이며, 하나님이 전인적 회복을 이루시는 방식입니다.

  • 우리가 하나님과 화해하고 죄사함을 경험할 때, 삶의 현실적 문제에서도 변화와 회복의 능력을 경험하게 됩니다.
     

  • 영적 회복이 먼저여야, 육체적·정신적·사회적 삶이 하나님 안에서 온전해집니다.
     

 

5. 적용과 결론 

회복의 순서가 중요합니다: 먼저 문제를 인식하고, 믿음을 행동으로 실천하며, 영적 회복을 경험해야, 현실적 삶에서도 완전한 회복이 가능합니다.
 

  • 우리 신앙의 실제 적용:
     

    • 삶의 어려움 앞에서 먼저 영적 문제를 직시합니다.
       

    • 하나님께 나아가는 행동적 믿음을 실천합니다.
       

    • 죄사함과 하나님과의 화해를 통해 영적 회복을 경험합니다.
       

    • 그 회복의 힘으로 현실의 문제와 장애를 극복합니다.
       

  • 핵심 메시지:
     

    • 회복은 영적 회복이 선행될 때 완전하게 이루어집니다.
       

    • 믿음은 단순한 마음의 확신이 아니라, 실천과 행동, 그리고 어려움 속에서도 하나님께 나아가는 내적 신뢰를 통해 회복을 가능하게 합니다.
       

우리의 삶의 모든 문제는 하나님 안에서 전인적 회복으로 연결될 수 있습니다.

 

 

Healing in Order: Faith, Forgiveness, and Restoration

1. Recognizing the Problem: Sin and Human Limitation

Textual Basis:

“And they came unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.” (Mark 2:3 KJV)

Explanation:

  • Human problems are not only physical but fundamentally spiritual, rooted in sin and separation from God.

  • The paralytic’s inability to walk represents the human inability to solve problems by ourselves, both spiritual and practical.

Application:

  • We must first see life’s problems from a spiritual perspective. Focusing only on external issues cannot bring true restoration.

2. Faith in Action: Coming to Jesus

Textual Basis:

“And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.” (Mark 2:4 KJV)

Explanation:

  • Faith is not only belief in the heart but must be expressed through action.

  • Archaeologically, Middle Eastern roofs were made of mud and straw, relatively easy to walk on and break through. The friends’ action represents overcoming physical and social limitations to bring the paralytic to Jesus.

  • Importantly, the paralytic himself also had faith. Despite the embarrassment and exposure before many people, he trusted Jesus for healing.

  • Restoration begins when both internal faith and external action work together.

Application:

  • Faith must go beyond inner conviction to practical steps toward Jesus.

  • Even in shameful or difficult circumstances, acting in faith is the starting point of restoration.

3. Spiritual Restoration: Forgiveness of Sins

Textual Basis:

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” (Mark 2:5 KJV)

Explanation:

  • The core of restoration is spiritual healing, reconciliation with God.

  • The paralytic received forgiveness before he walked, showing that spiritual restoration precedes physical restoration.

Application:

  • Our most urgent need is restoration in our relationship with God.

  • When we experience forgiveness and reconciliation, other areas of life begin to transform naturally.

4. Physical and Social Restoration

Textual Basis:

“And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” (Mark 2:9–12 KJV)

  • After spiritual restoration, physical and social healing follows.

  • Take faithful, practical steps toward Jesus.

  • Complete restoration occurs only when spiritual healing comes first.

  • Faith is not mere inner conviction; it requires action and trust in God even in difficult circumstances.
