Even those who, in their obedience, attain to the greatest height possible in this life,
(하나님의 뜻에) 순종함에 있어서 이 생에서 도달할 수 있는 최고의 경지에 이른 자라 할지라도
are so far from being able to supererogate,
(하나님께서 명하신) 의무 그 이상을 행할 수 없으며
and to do more than God requires,
하나님께서 요구하신 것 이상의 일을 할 수 없다.
that they actually fall short of much that they are bound to do.
오히려 그들이 해야만 하는 일조차 다 이루지 못할 뿐이다.
