[웨스트민스터신앙고백 14-1] 구원의 믿음은 어떻게 주어지고 자라는가?

1. 어떻게 구원의 은혜가 임하는가?

The grace of faith

믿음의 은혜란,

whereby the elect are enabled to believe to the saving of their souls

택하신 자들이 복음을 믿어 영혼이 구원에 이르게 하는 은혜입니다.

is the work of the Spirit of Christ in their hearts

이 믿음은 그리스도의 성령께서 그들의 마음속에서 행하시는 사역입니다.

and is ordinarily wrought by the ministry of the Word

그리고 보통 말씀의 사역을 통해 이루어집니다.

 

2. 어떻게 구원의 믿음은 강화되는가?

By which also, and by the administration of the Sacraments, and prayer, it is increased and strengthened.
이 믿음은 말씀과 성례, 그리고 기도를 통해 자라가고 강화됩니다.
