이 이슬로 인해 바위와 땅에 새 순이 솟아 납니다.
양들은 이 순들을 먹습니다.
결코 풍성하지는 않지만, 나의 허기를 충분합니다.
“양들이 눕는다” 의미는 ‘안식’을 의미합니다.
광야에서 목자와 양들은 밖에서 밤을 보내야 합니다.
양들은 마음에 평화가 가득합니다.
양들은 목자의 보살핌 속에서 참 된 안식을 누릴 수 있습니다.

‘잔잔한 물가’는 물살이 세지 않는 곳입니다.
목자는 양들을 인도하여, 잔잔한 물가로 인도합니다.

경사진 곳에서 위험한 상황에서 물을 마실 필요가 없습니다.
목자는 양들의 안위를 위해서 안전한 곳으로 인도해 물을 마시게 합니다.
물을 마시러 가는 상황은 위험한 길을 따라 내려갈 수밖에 없지만, 목자가 늘 안전한 곳으로 인도해 가는 것입니다.
“오늘 내게 부족함이 없는 삶”이란 어떤 삶입니까?
아무것도 하지 않아도 먹고 살기에 걱정이 없는 삶입니까?
먹을 것과 입을 것이 쌓여 있는 환경입니까?
그렇지 않습니다.
늘 풀을 찾아 광야의 길을 걸어가야 하는 삶입니다.
물을 마시기에 위해 잔잔한 곳을 찾아 이동해야 하는 삶입니다.
그러나, 거기에 하나님께서 예비하신 곳에서 새 순들을 먹을 수 있습니다.
목마름을 해결할 수 있습니다.
“부족함이 없는 삶”은 풍족함이 아니라, 인생의 믿음의 여정 중에서도 하나님께서 우리에게 필요를 따라 공급해 주시는 삶입니다.
여전히 우리는 삶 속에서 궁핍을 느낍니다.
먹고 사는 문제가 늘 우리를 두렵게 합니다.
이 두려움은 우리의 안식을 방해합니다.
그러나, “여호와는 나의 목자”라는 신뢰와 믿음이 있을 때, 우리는 안식할 수 있습니다.
필요를 아시고 가장 합당한 때에 공급해 주시는 것을 체험할 때, 우리는 주님 안에서 참 된 안식을 누릴 수 있습니다.

“A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd”
The phrase, "The Lord is my shepherd," is a metaphorical expression. The psalmist sings that "the Lord is my shepherd" in terms of guidance and protection.
“I shall not want.”
The phrase "I shall not want" does not imply abundance.
The journey is far from being rich or plentiful. The wilderness of Israel is not the lush, green pasture we might imagine.
Instead, it is a barren and desolate land. It is difficult to imagine pastures there.
Thus, "I shall not want" does not mean "abundance" but rather "He provides for my needs at the right time."
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures”
The "green pastures" refer to the dew that forms when the warm air from the west condenses.
This dew causes new shoots to sprout from the rocks and soil.
The sheep eat these shoots.
Although it is not abundant, it is enough to satisfy their hunger.
The phrase “the sheep lie down” implies "rest."
In the wilderness, the shepherd and the sheep spend the night outside.
The sheep are filled with peace.
The sheep can enjoy true rest under the care of the shepherd.
“He leadeth me beside the still waters”
The "still waters" refer to waters that are not fast-flowing.
The shepherd leads the sheep to these still waters, a "safe place."
There is no need for them to drink in dangerous situations on steep slopes.

Though the sheep may have to travel through dangerous paths to find water, the shepherd always guides them to safe places.
What Does “Life Without Lack" Mean Today?
Is it a life without worries, where you have everything you need without doing anything?
Is it an environment where food and clothing are piled up?
No, it is not.
It is a life where you must continually walk the wilderness path in search of pasture.
It is a life where you must move to find still waters to drink.
However, in those moments, God has already prepared places where you can eat the new shoots.
You can quench your thirst.
A "life without lack" is not one of abundance, but rather a life where, even in the journey of faith, God provides for us according to our needs.
We still feel lack in our lives.
The problems of daily living constantly cause us fear.
This fear disrupts our peace.
However, when we have trust and faith that "The Lord is my shepherd," we can find rest.
When we experience that He knows our needs and provides at the most appropriate time, we can enjoy true rest in the Lord.
