1. 자연 계시
The light of nature showeth that there is a God, 자연의 빛은 하나님이 존재하심을 보여줍니다.
who hath lordship 모든 만물의 주인이시며
and sovereignty over all; 모든 만물의 주권적 통치자 되시며
is good, and doth good unto all; 모든 만물에 대해 선을 행하시는 하나님은
and is therefore to be feared, 경외함을 받고
loved, 사랑을 받으며
praised, 찬양을 받고
called upon, (우리의 사정을) 들으시며
trusted in, 신뢰함을 받으시며
and served, with all the heart, and with all the soul, and with all the might. 영혼을 다하고 힘을 다하여 섬김을 받으십니다.
2. 예배에 있어서 자연 계시의 한계
But the acceptable way of worshipping the true God is 그럼에도 불구하고 참 신을 예배할 수 있는 바른 방법은
instituted by Himself, 하나님이 제정하시고
and so limited by His own revealed will, 그 분 자신의 계시된 뜻에 의해 제한되었습니다.
that He may not be worshipped according to the imaginations and devices of men, (그것은) 인간의 상상력이나 고안된 어떤 방식에 의한 것이 아니며
or the suggestions of Satan, under any visible representation, 사탄의 제안 하에서 어떤 시각적으로 보여지는 상징물에 대해 예배 드리거나
or any other way not prescribed in the Holy Scripture 성경의 말씀에 기술된 외에 그 어떤 다른 방식이 되어서도 안 된다는 것입니다.
